Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To detect void corona with high sensitivity by holding the potential of the partial discharge detection sensor connected between the tap terminals of a resin molded transformer to the height corresponding to the earth potential of the tap terminals. CONSTITUTION:A partial discharge detection apparatus 30 is constituted of the series circuit of the partial discharge detection sensor 31 and coupling condenser 32 connected between the non-load change-over tap terminals 6, 7 of a high voltage winding 3, the detected pulse amplifying circuit 33 and an indicator 34 and the potential of the sensor 31 is held to the high potential corresponding to the ground potential of tap coils mu6, mu7 by an insulating material not shown in the drawing. By this constitution, the void corona in a resin molded coil becomes easy to generate by the local rising of the electric fields between unit coils 11 and embedded leads 16, 17 can be detected with high sensitivity.
