RF converter circuit for video equipment

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To vary a sound volume of a television receiver receiving a high frequency (RF) signal optionally by using a remote controller so as to adjust the level of an audio signal prior to the acquisition of an audio FM signal. CONSTITUTION:Before the carrier of an oscillated frequency of an oscillator 3 is subject to frequency modulation at an FM modulator 2 by using a reproduced audio signal as a modulation signal, the audio signal level is varied optionally by a digital volume 14. When the remote controller 11a is operated to revise the setting value of the volume 14, a remote control signal whose setting value is variable is radiated. The remote control signal is received by a photodetection section 12 of a VTR and given to a control section 13a. The control section 13a decodes the remote control signal, outputs a control signal in response to the decoded content to adjust the resistance of the volume 14. Thus, the sound volume is varied optionally without any sound volume adjustment of the television receiver.
