Parity check system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To discriminate an error to be that of a binary code or that of a parity bit by dividing the binary code of plural bits, which is to be an object for detecting the presence or absence of the error, generating plural groups, executing parity check and synthetically executing judgement. CONSTITUTION:The binary code of 16 bits, which is to be the object for detecting the presence or absence of the error, is inputted from a 16 bits signal bus 5, and they are divided into respective signal buses 6-9, which have been divided into four bit units. Respective signal buses and parity bits 10-13 are inputted to parity check circuits 1-4, and the error detection result by the parity check of the parity check circuits 1-4 are outputted as parity check errors 14-17. A discrimination circuit 18 outputs the binary code error 19 and the parity bit error 20 based on information on the parity check errors 14-17. Thus, whether the error is that of the binary code or that of the parity bit is discriminated.
