Device for switching vehicle characteristics

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To automatically switch over characteristics by a method wherein with road information on a route preset, when reaching the specified road is detected, the information on the specified road is output so that vehicle characteristics are switched over according to the information. CONSTITUTION:Road information is input in advance by specifying highways, straight roads, winding roads, etc. on an expected route of a map displayed on an indicator 7 by an operating unit 8. When an indicator of the current location reaches the specified position on the expected route, a signal processor 3 outputs road information RD which has been input in advance to a controller 10. The controller 10 reads from the road information RD that the vehicle is reaching the specified road and switches a suspensions switching driver 11 and a steering switching driver 12. This constitution enables automation of switching of the vehicle characteristics.
