Ceramic adsorbent

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enhance chemical stability by forming a ceramic adsorbent composed of 40-60wt.% of moldenite, 20-40wt.% of quartz and 1-20wt.% of filled spare as main components and a very small amount of mineral. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic adsorbent is composed of 40-60wt.% of moldenite, 20-40wt.% of quartz and 1-20wt.% of filled spare as main components, including a very small amount of mineral. The ceramic adsorbent thus prepared is stable to acid and base as active carbon is, and as the adsorbent itself is neutral, the same can be used for a wider range of purposes than other adsorbents. Also, the same has adsorbency higher than active carbon to a compound (-C=NH2) containing given multiple bond. Also, in order to further enhance the activity of the prepared adsorbent, the same is activated at around 500 deg.C.
