Optical information recording medium
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To allow the integral constitution of both of a recordable region which allows reproduction in accordance with CD standards and a ROM region by providing a specific light absorptive layer and a reflecting layer consisting of a metallic film formed directly or via other layer on the rear of the light absorptive layer to the recordable region. CONSTITUTION:The recordable region 7 has the light absorptive layer 2 formed by coating the surface of a substrate 1 with a dye material which absorbs laser light by a spin coating method and the reflecting layer 3 consisting of the metallic film formed directly or via the other layer on the rear of the light absorptive layer. The material of the light absorptive layer 3 is exemplified by a cyanine dye, polymethine dye, etc. The integral formation of the ROM region 6 which can be reproduced by the CD player and the recordable region 7 with the single substrate 1 is facilitated in this way.
