Refrigerator
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate trouble due to the invasion of water into a motor and smoothen flow in a cold air passage by a method wherein a damper device, equipped with baffles, opening and closing the air outlet ports of ducts, and a motor, driving the baffles, is attached in the manner that the motor is positioned above the air outlet ports. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator is partitioned by a heat insulating partitioning wall 6 into a refrigerating chamber 7, positioned at upper part, and a cold storage chamber 8, positioned at lower part. A cooler 10 is received in a cooling chamber 9 and a propeller fan 12 is attached to the back wall of a heat insulating box body 5. A damper device 20 is attached so as to be slanted with respect to air outlet ports 17, 18 while a baffle 21 for the cold storage chamber opens and closes the air outlet port 17 and a baffle 22 opens and closes the air outlet port 18 respectively. A motor 47 and the rear surface of a receiving part 59 are also slanted and, further, the rear surface at the side of a fan 12 is slanted lower than the lower end of the same. Accordingly, cold air, flows down from upper part, flows smoothly toward the air outlet port 18 along the slanted surface. The motor 47 is attached to the inside of the receiving part 59 so as to be positioned above the air outlet port. According to this constitution, the invasion of water into the motor 47, which is caused by water flowing down into the air outlet ports 17, 18, may be eliminated whereby the trouble of the motor, such as freezing, short-circuit of windings and the like, may be prevented.
