Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve an internal combustion engine in startability by injecting fuel from a low pressure fuel injection system when fuel pressure in a high pressure fuel injection system is less than an aimed pressure, and injecting fuel from the high pressure fuel injection system when the same is more than the aimed pressure. CONSTITUTION:A high pressure fuel injection system 100 injecting high pressure fuel in an accumulator into an internal combustion engine in a combustion chamber, and a low pressure fuel injection system 101 injecting fuel into the internal combustion engine in an intake air passage are respectively provided. It is judged by a means 102 whether fuel pressure in the high pressure fuel injection system 100 is over an appointed aimed pressure or not. Fuel injection means are controlled by a means 103 so as to inject fuel from the low pressure fuel injection system 101 when fuel pressure in the high pressure fuel injection system 100 is judged under the aimed pressure, as a result thereof, and still to inject fuel from only the high pressure fuel injection system 100 when fuel pressure in the high pressure fuel injection system 100 is judged over the aimed pressure.
