Scrolling control system of display device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To indicate a desired scrolling quantity by single-time operation by calculating the vector connecting one indicated points in a window frame and on a display screen and scrolling a display area on the display screen corresponding to the vector. CONSTITUTION:Coordinate data on one point P1 in the window frame 2 which is indicated by a user and coordinate data on one point P2 on the display screen 1 are stored and the vector connecting both points is calculated from both coordinate data on the points P1 and P2 to scroll the display area on the display screen 1 up and down, and right and left corresponding to the vector. Consequently, the operation for scrolling the display area is facilitated and the user can indicate a desired scrolling quantity at a time, so that the operation efficiency is improved.
