Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain the regeneration from the peak signal of a program by rewinding a tape only for the time equivalent to the recording time of starting identification information and regenerating a main signal when program time information is not recorded. CONSTITUTION:Until the leading edge of starting identification information ID is detected, a tape is travelled at an about 200 times speed, and when the leading edge is detected, a tape travelling is stopped and the tape is travelled in the reverse direction for the overrun part at the 8 times speed at the time of the ordinary reproduction. When performance time information P time is not reproduced at the time of detecting the leading edge of the tip of a starting ID, the leading edge of the rear edge of the starting ID is detected with the search mode of the reverse reproduction of 8 times speed, simultaneously, a time counter is reset, only the tape length equivalent to the recording period of the starting ID already specified, for example, 9 seconds is rewound, switched to the ordinary reproducing condition, the reproduction is started from the peak position of a program before the starting ID is omitted and a P time in proportion to the tape travelling distance is operated and displayed by a time counter.
