Polyester support improved for manufacture of electrostatic transparent picture

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve an image on a polyester substrate by forming a toner receiving layer with an aq. ammonia soln. contg. a binder, an antistatic agent, a crosslinking agent and two kinds of beads different from each other in compsn. and size. CONSTITUTION: An aq. dispersion liq. is prepd. using a multifunctional aziridinyl crosslinking agent, an antistatic agent made of a copolymer of sodium styrenesulfonate with maleic acid and an alkyl methacrylate polymer soluble in an ammonia soln. and the dispersion liq. is kept at pH6.0-6.9. Small and large polymethacrylate beads dispersed in an ammonia soln. and modified with butyl methacrylate are added to the dispersion liq. and this liq. is adjusted to >=pH7.0. The surface of an undercoat layer on a polyester substrate is coated with the resultant dispersion liq. to form a toner receiving layer. By this structure, an electrostatic transparent image can be improved.
