Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To execute a prescribed processing only on a device having the same data pattern as that of a memory device by comparing the data pattern read out from the memory device with that read out from a generating means. CONSTITUTION:First, a CPU 10 executes an initial program by loading the initial program on a ROM 5 when the power source of a television game machine is applied. Next, the CPU 10 reads out 16 kinds of data patterns of eight bits stored in a ROM 4 in advance. A read out data pattern is compared with the 16 kinds of data patterns of eight bits stored in the ROM 5. When the data patterns coincide as a result of comparison, a start permission signal is outputted to an image processing circuit 2 via a data bus 11. Responding to the above output, the image processing circuit 2 starts the processing of a television game by a program stored in the ROM 4.
