Display system for handwritten editing command symbol

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the editing efficiency by displaying a result of recognition of a handwritten editing command symbol in a document, and detecting whether an error of its result of recognition exists or not in an input stage of the handwritten editing command symbol without waiting for a result of editing, so as to be able to cope quickly with an erroneous recognition. CONSTITUTION:A handwritten document editing device is provided with a handwritten editing command input part 11, a document editing part 14, and an editing result display means 20. When a handwritten editing command symbol is inputted to the input part 11, a handwritten editing command symbol recognizing part 12 executes a recognition processing of a command symbol (R), etc., and sends a result of recogni tion to a command display control part 13 and the document editing part 14 together with its position data. The display control part 13 displays a result of the handwritten editing command symbol which has been inputted by controlling the display means 20, in a position instructed by its position data, copes quickly with an erroneous recogni tion, and when the input is ended correctly, the document editing part 14 edits efficient ly a document, based on document data of an editing object and a result of recognition of the handwritten editing command recognizing part 12 and displays its result on the display part 20.
