Abstract

2 Provided is a semiconductor device in which a semiconductor layer is formed from ZnO and aluminum is used as an electrode / wiring material. A semiconductor device includes a substrate, at least one electrode supported by the substrate, and a semiconductor layer (ZnO) that contacts at least a part of an upper surface of the electrode. A first conductive layer 2 made of aluminum and a second conductive layer 2 disposed between the upper surface of the first conductive layer 2 and the semiconductor layer 4 and made of a material (such as Ti) that is less likely to cause an electrolytic corrosion reaction than aluminum. The semiconductor device includes a conductive layer and an insulating protective layer located between a lower surface of the semiconductor layer and a side surface of the first conductive layer.
