Abstract

(57) [Problem] To provide a card connector ejection mechanism that warns a user before being ejected by mistake and prevents electrical destruction of data and a circuit section in the card. SOLUTION: A protection button 11 is arranged in front of an ejection button 10 which is normally pressed, and a shutter 17 is attached to a tip of the protection button 20 using a spring 12 through a protection shaft 20. The opening and closing of the shutter 17 changes the output level of the photodetector 16 on the substrate 18 and locks the card ejector 14 with the stopper 22, thereby making it possible to read or write data on the card with a simple structure. When the card is to be ejected, a warning is issued in advance from the device side before the card is ejected to prevent the data and the circuit section in the card from being electrically damaged.
