Abstract
Abstract 463,558. Splash-guards and plate-racks for gas cookers. TWINAM, E. J. Oct. 1, 1935, No. 27042. [Class 126] A gas cooker splash-guard 10, carrying a plate-rack 23 collapsable flat against the guard and mounted so as to be collapsable flat against the top of the hot-plate 16, is secured in its upright position by two movable bolts 17 mounted on the splashguard and engaging in brackets 14 on the sides of the cooler, the bolts being interconnected so as to be movable simultaneously into or out of engagement. Interengaging pinions 18 engage ratchets on the bolts. Pins 28, 29 in the sides of the plate rack rest in slots 30, 31 in brackets 32 on the splash-guard. When the rack is to be lowered, it is first lifted at the front so that the pin 28 disengages from the slot 30, and is slid forward. In the collapsed position, it is held by spring detents 33 engaging in holes 34.
