Abstract
Abstract 1,069,555. Brake discs. W. BUSCH and H. FRIEDERICHS, [trading as BERGISCHE STAHL-INDUSTRIE REMSCHEID]. Aug. 23, 1965 [Aug. 21, 1964; April 6, 1965], No. 36139/65. Heading F2E. In an arrangement for rigidly mounting brake discs on a wheel hub of a vehicle, the brake disc 14 is provided with a number of axially extending guide ribs 15 which also extend in a radial direction towards grooves 16 formed in a number of outwardly extending radial carrying arms 13 projecting from the hub 12. The guide ribs project into the grooves 16 with a force fit and locking screws 21 are provided to locate locking elements which are inserted in a tangential direction at right angles to the recessed grooves to locate the disc in position. Two brake discs may be mounted one on each side of a wheel disc 24 (Fig. 8, not shown) integrally mounted on the wheel hub 12. Radially extending ribs or fins are formed on the rear sides of the brake discs to allow cooling air to pass therethrough.
