Improvement to a traction system for a shopping trolley and adaptation to luggage trolleys

Abstract

Abstract Traction device for a shopping trolley including a motor 1 driving a differential 2 by means of a tangent wheel (worm wheel) and worm; the output shafts of the differential are supported by bearings 3 and drive grooved pulleys 4 driving, by means of belts 5, intermediate pulleys 6 with two grooves which drive, by means of a belt 7, the wheels 8 including grooves 9. A mounting plate 10 fixed to the bottom of the basket supports the motor, the differential, the bearings and the axles integral with pulleys as well as the control electronics 11; the device includes supply bars 21 and 23 serving to charge the battery 17 and an emitter intended, together with a receiver, to prevent theft of the trolley. By replacing the mounting plate 10 by a different mounting plate 32 the device may be fitted to luggage trolleys.
