Improvements to pallet-boxes of the type in which sleeves securely fastened to the bottom of a container made of cardboard or the like receive units made of a rigid material in order to form a pallet under the container
Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a pallet-box of the type comprising a container 1 made of corrugated cardboard or the like, to the outside of the bottom of which at least two rectilinear parallel sleeves 7, forming a housing for at least one reinforcing unit made of a rigid or semi-rigid material, are fastened. According to the invention, tongues 5, 6 are cut out in the bottom of the container, which tongues adjoin the said bottom and are placed in positions such that they are able to seal off at least partially the ends of the said sleeves and/or to engage in the slits 9 cut out in the face of the said sleeves, which face is meant to be in contact with the outer face of the bottom of the container, the said tongues 9 being folded inside the said sleeves 7 under the stress of the said reinforcing units 8 and being pinched between the latter and the part of the sleeves which is in contact with the bottom of the container, thus keeping the said sleeves in position.
