Injection head equipped with a cleaning channel for injection and metering machines
Abstract
Abstract Head for injection, into a mould, of somewhat viscous liquids, composed of a nozzle with a mouth and an injection-head body, the whole unit being traversed axially by a channel for guiding an injection needle, which opens or closes the passage of the material towards the mouth, a material delivery channel, which leads to the injection channel, being made at the same time in the body of the injection head and in the nozzle. Its features are: the arrangment, in the head 1 and the body 5, of a rinsing channel 6 parallel to the material delivery channel 4 and the establishing of a communication between the material delivery channel 4 and the rinsing channel 6 via an intermediate channel 11 disposed in the injection nozzle 1 transversely to the injection direction, as well as the arrangement in the rinsing channel 6, of a closure needle 7 which can close off the rinsing channel 6 in the direction of the intermediate channel 11. The invention lends itself especially to the injection of mixtures composed of highly-reactive and curable varnishes (lacquers) based on polyalcohol and isocyanate.
