Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to dermatological compositions for external topical use in the treatment of acne, characterised in that they contain 0.1% to 5% by weight of metronidazole in combination with at least one keratolytic active ingredient chosen from benzoyl peroxide, vitamin A acid and its derivatives as well as a carrier ensuring the penetration and stability of the active ingredients on the skin. The present invention relates in particular to dermatological compositions the active ingredients of which consist of the combinations: metronidazole-vitamin A acid or metronidazole-benzoyl peroxide.
