Removable foot rest for a wheelchair, comprising a verticalisation (uprighting) structure

Abstract

Abstract Equipment for handicapped persons. The foot rest comprises two assemblies 21 which are symmetrical relative to a plane and, respectively, consist of: - a rest sole plate 22 provided at the base of an upright 23; - a deformable quadrilateral 24 connecting the upright 23 to a rib 25 fitted on the corresponding front upright of the framework of the seat; - a removable link 32 between an extension 31 of the quadrilateral and an intermediate connecting rod 33 articulated to the verticalisation (uprighting) structure 14; and - means for locking the rib 25 and for immobilising the quadrilateral 24 after withdrawal of the front upright 3 of the framework. Application to wheelchairs for handicapped persons, comprising a verticalisation (uprighting) structure.
