Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a pocket tape measure, of the flexible or rigid type, specially adapted for taking certain standard measurements in a particular professional field. The tape measure possesses, on at least one side 12 of the element 1 bearing the graduation, special indices 14 which correspond to standard dimensions L within that particular field. These indices are identified by names or symbols. Such pocket tape measures are intended to be used by amateurs or professionals, especially in the building trades, for example electrical or sanitary installations, joinery, etc.
