Abstract

Abstract Characteristics of thin-film magnetic alloy of 80% Ni and 20% Fe ensure a max./dynamic coercivity of 700 A/m at ikHz with a layer thickness of 5.10-7-3.10-6 m. Film exhibits a preferably magnetisation sense and a satn. magnetostriction between 0 and + I.10-6m. Transducer delivers a signal of 80 mV under standard test conditions with a film thickness of 10-7m. Ferromagnetic layer is deposited on a metal or non-metallic substrate which is pretreated, and various methods of film thickness control during vapour-phase deposition are given.
