Abstract
Abstract Polymerisation of alpha-olefins is effected using a Ziegler catalyst as in parent patent with the improvement that, in order to obtain polymers of high apparent density, the Mg concn. in the intermediate reactn. mixt. is kept at >0.1, pref. 0.250.4 molar. The alpha-olefin is pref. ethylene. Polyolefin powders produced have apparent densities of 160-320, pref. 208-288 g/l.
