Abstract

Abstract A coffee table is shaped like a box with a pull-out part (12) fitting flush into the fixed top and sides (16) of the box-like table. The object is to hide totally from view equipment that is a pleasure to have and use but is not visually pleasing enough to have constantly on view, such as, for example, high-fidelity equipment. The action control must be smooth enough and the height of the table correct to render the correct acoustics. The action is controlled electrically, the table containing a motor as well as a transformer. It is controlled by a push button.
