Abstract
Abstract The bottle cap has a flat central portion (1) fitting over the bottle end and stretching over the ring (8) on the neck of the bottle. The base of the cap has a solid ring (5) connected to an outer skirt (2). The solid ring fits the groove in the neck of the bottle. The end of the outer skirt (2) is above the top of the cap when the cap is loose on the bottle and is forced downwards to close the cap, pivoting about the inside edge of the solid ring (5).
