Effluent purification flotation cell - has weir on outer tank above inner supply tank and level with foam collector
Abstract
Abstract The flotation cell for effluent purification has an inner cylinder with an open conical base under which is a distributor head which discharges upwards. Air is introduced into the effluent through a chamber on the feed pipe. Around this is an outer cylinder taller than the inner cylinder, with a weir over which the liq. discharges into a side outlet. The inside of the weir is connected by a vertical tube fed through a perforated ring under the sloping base. This is also creened by a skirt at the bottom of the inner cylinder. A foam collector open just above the top edge of the weir discharges through a side outlet. Sediment falls into the conical bottom of the outer cylinder and is discharged through a pipe in the middle at the lowest level.
