Method for channel allocation and radio communication system
Abstract
Abstract The method involves using a time division duplex (TDD) transmission method with time slots as channels for radio transmission between a base station (BS) and mobile stations (MS). A switching point (SP) separates the time slots for the uplink direction and the time slots for the downlink direction. Transmission parameters are determined with respect to the transmission quality. Mobile stations with better transmission parameter are allocated to time slots near the switching point. Preferably, an area switching point is determined for a group of adjacent base stations, and the mobile stations with the better transmission parameters are allocated to time slots between the radio cell specific switching point and the area switching point.
