Abstract
Abstract Terminals in computer networks are connected via servers to transmit data containing at least audio data through the computer networks. In receipt of information on a source terminal sent from a server, a destination terminal performs behaviours responsive to the information. For example, the destination terminal judges whether the source terminal is a previously specified terminal, and connects or does not connect itself to the source terminal in accordance with the judgment.

A telephone apparatus that can be connected through a telephone network to a computer network including at least one server and conveying data containing at least an audio signal, comprising: a modulator/demodulator circuit connected to said telephone network; and a control means connected to said modulator/demodulator circuit to process said data and to establish connection for data communication with said server when it judges that data from said modulator/demodulator circuit comes through said computer network.
