Abstract The radio device (1) has a reception slot for insertion of an identity card, with an ON-OFF switch (9) in front of the slot, for switching the current supply for the identity card, operated by the card insertion and removal. Pref. the reception slot is provided at the rear of the housing of the radio device, which has a stepped surface, the current supply ON-OFF switch provided by a push-button switch, cooperating with the edge of the identity card. <IMAGE>
