Method for remote diagnosis of a mobile station

Abstract

Abstract The special service number of the network manager is selected by a mobile subscriber to ascertain the cause of unsatisfactory communication quality by allowing measurement of the parameters required for the diagnosis. The results obtained are fed back to the mobile subscriber. The remote diagnosis devices may be installed in fixed stations of the mobile radio network and centrally controlled. A dual-tone multifrequency signal can be supplied for selection of test scenarios of differing length, the results of the remote diagnosis being transmitted acoustically to the mobile subscriber.
