Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 61 words
A portable radio communication apparatus comprising: a transmission/reception circuit; a casing accommodating said transmission/reception circuit; an antenna mounted on and retractable into said casing; a feed circuit accommodated in said casing for electrically connecting said antenna and said transmission/reception circuit; and a matching circuit accommodated in said casing and connectable to said antenna when said antenna is retracted into said casing.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 20 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a conductor connected to said antenna and implemented as a coil.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 40 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 1, further comprising first connecting means for connecting said antenna and said matching circuit when said antenna is retracted into said casing, and second connecting means for connecting said feed circuit and said antenna.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 51 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein said antenna comprises a conductive rod having a conductive surface portion to be connected to said matching circuit by said first connecting means, a conductive surface portion to be connected to said feed circuit by said second connecting means, and insulated surface portions.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 37 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein said antenna comprises a conductive rod having an entire surface thereof covered with an insulator, said second connecting means comprising a metallic member which does not contact said antenna.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 24 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 5, wherein said first connecting means comprises a conductive member affixed to an innermost end of said antenna.
