Surgical instrument for the in situ fragmentation of living tisue
Abstract
<IMAGE> Surgical instrument for the in situ fragmentation of a living material in an organ (1) or part of a human or animal body, and the extraction of said material from said organ, said instrument comprising, on the one hand, a fragmentation tool (2), and on the other hand an actuating means (5) of the tool in direct contact with the living material, to be fragmented and extracted, characterized in that the tool is a tool for dry working of the living material and comprises inside a sleeve a rotary member (6) for cutting and longitudinal discharge of the living material, combining, on the one hand at least one rotary cutting means (7a, 81,82), capable of cutting the living material through a window (3c), and on the other hand a discharge screw (7) of the cut living material, towards the distal end (3a) of the tool (2). An actuating means (5) of the tool comprises a mechanical means (9) for driving in rotation the rotary member (6) for cutting and longitudinal removal of the living material. <IMAGE>
