A laser light beam generating apparatus for converting the wavelength of a laser beam comprising: at least one laser beam source (11; 61; 71; 81) for emitting a laser beam; a first reflector (16; 66; 76; 86); a second reflector (17; 67; 77; 87) wherein said first (16; 66; 76; 86) and second (17; 67; 77; 87) reflectors form an optical resonator; a non-linear optical crystal element (18; 68; 78; 88) provided between said first (16; 66; 76; 86) and second (17; 67; 77; 87) reflectors, such that the optical path of a laser beam from said laser beam source (11; 61; 11; 81) is incident on said non-linear optical crystal element (18; 68; 78; 88) through said first reflector (16; 66; 76; 86); actuating means (19; 69; 79; 89, 45) for actuating at least one of said first (16; 66; 76; 86) and second (17; 67; 77; 87) reflectors along an optical axis of the laser beam emitted from said laser beam source (11; 61; 71; 81); a phase modulator (12) between said laser beam source (11; 61; 71; 81) and said first reflector (16; 66; 76; 86); controlling means (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26) for driving said phase modulator (12; 62) and controlling said actuating means (19; 69; 79; 89; 45) responsive to a driving signal of said phase modulator (12; 62), wherein said controlling means (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26) comprises an oscillator (21) generating the driving signal for said phase modulator (12; 62), a photodetector (23) for receiving the laser beam by means of said first reflector (16; 66; 76; 86), a synchronous detecting circuit (24) for detecting an output signal from said photodetector (23) and the driving signal from said oscillator (21), and a low-pass filter (25,53) characterized in that said synchronous detecting circuit (24) comprises a band-pass filter (51) supplied with an output signal from said photodetector (23), a phase delay circuit (57) for delaying the phase of said driving signal from said oscillator (21), a sample-and-hold circuit (52) for sampling and holding an output signal from said band-pass filter (51) responsive to an output signal from said phase delay circuit (57) and wherein said low-pass filter is connected to an output from said sample-and-hold circuit.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 46 words
A laser beam generating apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said actuating means (19; 69; 79; 89; 45) comprises a reflector supporting member (32) for supporting said reflector (31) and an electromagnetic actuator (33, 34, 35) for nioving said reflector supported by said supporting member (32).
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 65 words
A laser beam generating apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said non-linear optical crystal element (68) is provided in the optical axis of the laser beam source (61) and said optical resonator further comprises a plane mirror (63) provided off the optical axis of the laser beam source (61), and wherein said first (66) and second (67) reflectors each comprise a concave mirror.
