Apparatus for static and/or dynamic length and/or angle measurement
Abstract
Abstract A device for the static and/or dynamic contactless electric measurement of the instantaneous longitudinal and/or angular position assumed by two bodies with reference to one another which can be moved with respect to one another, is proposed. The device is rugged and insensitive to contamination, supplies accurate measurement results in digital form within a wide temperature range even at a high temperature and allows mechanical tolerances within wide limits. This is achieved by the fact that a scale designed in a manner of a one-step binary code with several code tracks and exhibiting an electromagnetically attenuating material is firmly connected to one body and a scanning coil for each code track is firmly connected opposite to this track to the other body, which scanning coil belongs to a resonant circuit which can be attenuated by attenuating sections of the code track, and a circuit arrangement is provided in which the oscillation amplitudes at the scanning coils are used for representing the bit values. <IMAGE>
