Method of automatic reemission of a message after reception with errors

Abstract

Abstract In the method, an errored reception of the message is recognised by means of an error-recognising code also transmitted. The message and all repeated transmissions of it are provided with the same repetition recognition character on reception of which it is recognised whether the associated message is a repeated transmission of an identical message already transmitted earlier. It is only when identical repetition recognition characters are received that the message received with errors is combined with variants of the same message already received earlier with errors in order to realise an error correction. The method is advantageously used in complex transmission networks (6) which are provided with a multiplicity of centres (7) and substations (1 to 5). <IMAGE>
