Abstract
Abstract . An IC card connection structure for connecting an IC card reader/writer to an IC card having an upper position type contact points or an IC card having a lower position type contact points comprises a contact (4) having contact pins (5) capable of connecting to the upper position type contact points and the lower postion type contact points and a flexible cable (6) on which the contact (4) is mounted being connected to a connector (7) mounted on the control circuit (3).

An IC card connection structure for connecting the control circuit of an IC card reader/writer to an IC card comprising: the IC card having contact points (1a, 31 a) arranged at an upper portion thereof (U) or a lower portion thereof (L); a contact (4, 18) having contact pins capable of contacting all the contact points of the IC card located at the upper position and at the lower position; a connection member on which the contact is mounted and having terminals provided at one end thereof for connecting to the contact pins of the contact (4, 18), leads (9, 29) connected to the terminals (8, 28) and contact portions (10, 30) provided at the other end for connecting the terminals (8, 28) at the side of the upper position to the corresponding terminals (8, 28) at the side of the lower position; and a connector (7) mounted on the control circuit into which the contact portions of the connection member (6,26) are inserted.
