Abstract The prosthetic assembly comprising a cup or ring (1) and an impact apparatus (2) equipped with arrangements (2a) capable of cooperating with inner arrangements (1b) distributed over the circumference of the cup (1), with an annular indexing and blocking capacity, is distinguished in that the arrangements (1b) consist of an indent (1b1) which is very substantially semicircular, formed from the outer peripheral edge of the cavity (1a) of the cup, the bottom of the said indent (1b1) being continued on at least one side by a notch (1b2). <IMAGE>
