Electrical connector assembly with locking device for two lockable connector housings
Abstract
Abstract An electrical plug connector having a connector housing with chambers for plug contact elements and a mating connector housing, and having a locking device for locking the two housings, which locking device has two locking arms which are arranged on the outsides of the connector housing and are supported such that they can pivot thereon. In the end region facing the mating connector housing, said locking arms have a locking edge which engages behind a mating locking edge on the other housing and, together with unlocking arms extending in the opposite direction to the locking arms, form two-armed tilting levers which are prestressed in their locking position by spring force, the tilting levers (13) being formed by two separate stamped/bent parts of sheet metal, which are arranged and held in mirror-image symmetry with respect to one another and are in each case in one piece, which are provided in the region of the pivoting fulcrum with side limb pieces (21) and are formed in a U-shape into a web (15) which connects them to one another, there being constructed on the side limb pieces (21) hinge parts (17) which are connected in a latching manner to mating hinge parts (33) on the connector housing (2) and a strip-shaped spring arm (28) being cut-in or cut-free and bent out obliquely from each web (15), which spring arm (28) rests with pretensioning on the connector housing (2). <IMAGE>
