Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 186 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus in which a transmission signal and a reception signal are selectively switched to access an antenna, comprising: (a) a first transmission line connected between a terminal to which said transmission signal is supplied and an antenna terminal; (b) a second transmission line and a first switching element connected in series between said terminal to which said transmission signal is supplied and the ground; (c) a third transmission line connected between said antenna terminal and a terminal to which said reception signal is supplied; and (d) a fourth transmission line and a second switching element connected in series between said terminal to which said reception signal is supplied and the ground, the length of each of said first to fourth transmission lines being selected to be 1/4 of an average wavelength λ of said transmission and reception signals, wherein when said transmission signal is transmitted, said first switching element is turned ON and said second switching element is turned OFF, while when said reception signal is received, said first switching element is turned OFF and said second switching element is turned ON.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 19 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said first to fourth transmission lines are coaxial lines.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 28 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein each of said first and second switching elements includes a switching diode and a switching transistor.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 17 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus according to claim 3, in which said switching diodes are PIN diodes,
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 33 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus according to claim 1, 2, 3 or 4 wherein said first to fourth transmission lines and said first and second switching elements are arranged in a multiple-stage fashion.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 43 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus as claimed in claim 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 whereon said first transmission lines includes first to third coaxial lines connected in series and said third transmission line includes fourth to sixth coaxial lines connected in series.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 40 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus as claimed in claim 6, wherein the length of each of said first and third coaxial lines is selected to be λ/4, while the length of said second coaxial line is selected to be λ/2.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 38 words
A signal transmission/reception switching apparatus as claimed in claim 7, wherein the length of each of said fourth and sixth coaxial lines is selected to λ/4, while the length of said fifth coaxial line is selected to λ/2.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 15 words
A telephone including signal transmission/reception switching apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims.
