Abstract
Abstract A composite membrane is described, which is composed of a backing layer, a porous reinforcing layer and a separating layer, the backing layer comprising polyamide fibres, polyvinylidene difluoride fibres, polyester fibres or glass fibres, the reinforcing layer comprising a polysulphone, polyvinylidene difluoride, polyether-sulphone, polyimide, polyvinyl alcohol, polyurethane, polyacrylonitrile or polyether-imide and the separating layer comprising polyvinyl alcohol. The separating layer is poreless and has a structure with large microcrystalline portions. In addition, a process for producing this membrane is described.
