Abstract

Abstract The display control apparatus of a ferroelectric liquid crystal panel (21) of the present invention does not apply a selective voltage (A) to the scanning electrode (Li), when display data (DATA) of picture elements (Aij) on the scanning electrode (Li) displayed at present and display data (DATA) in the following frame are same, or applies the selective voltage (A) only to some of the electrodes (L). Accordingly, even in the case of ferroelectric liquid crystal panel (21) having a large number of scanning electrodes (L), a frame period is shortened by the decreased number of scanning electrodes (L) selected in one frame. Thereby, the response time for the display of data (DATA) inputted can be shortened.
