Abstract

There is a flexible pipe element for exhaust pipes of internal combustion engines in motor vehicles specified, which has a bellows made of metal with cylindrical connecting ends and a braiding hose directly surrounding the bellows made of metal wire, these parts being permanently connected to each other to form the connecting ends of the pipe element within a cylindrical support ring are. It is provided that at least one flexible damping element, which starts from one of the connection ends of the line element and is otherwise movable relative to the braided hose, is brought into contact with the first braided hose.
