Abstract
Abstract Upon being produced, the connector (1) already obtains several positioning noses (9a to 9f) on its positioning segment (4). In this arrangement, the connector pin (2) is already connected in a rotationally fixed fashion to the positioning segment (4). That positioning nose (9a) whose relative position with respect to the optical fibre (3) guarantees the lowest attenuation values at the end face (7) is determined by a measurement operation and labelled. All the remaining positioning noses (9b to 9f) are subsequently removed, for example by cutting off. <IMAGE>
