Eine Vorrichtung zur Überwachung des Bandschlupfs und zur Durchführung des Verfahrens ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Markierungselement (5) dreieckförmig ausgebildet ist, wobei eine Dreieckseite im rechten Winkel zur Bandlaufrichtung (4) angeordnet ist.
