Abstract
Abstract A display apparatus having an image generator (9) and a beam combiner (35) including a hologram for displaying a reduced image by receiving beams from the image generator (9). A virtual image (62) of an image generated by the image generator is formed in the vicinity of the beam combiner (35) by virtue of the image reductioning function of the beam combiner, so that the displayed image is visible from a wider range of viewing positions.
