Process and apparatus for aerobic, fermentative hydrolysis, particularly for composting of organic materials
Abstract
One method is used for aerobic, fermentative hydrolysis, in particular for composting organic substances in a closed container. Fresh air (6) is supplied to the organic substances. The exhaust air loaded with heat and moisture is removed and cooled. The heat of the exhaust air is transferred to the fresh air supplied through a heat exchanger (1). In order to improve the metabolic conditions and in particular to achieve a higher fresh air temperature, the exhaust air (7) is divided into at least two partial flows (31, 32) (8). The heat of the first exhaust air stream (31) is transferred through a first heat exchanger (1) to the fresh air (4) supplied (3). The heat of the second exhaust air stream (32) is transferred through a second heat exchanger (2) to the fresh air leaving the first heat exchanger (1) and heated by the latter.
