Process for producing planar magnetic heads by making cells in a non-magnetic board, and magnetic heads obtained by such a process
Abstract
The field considered is that of the simultaneous manufacture of a plurality of planar magnetic heads on a wafer or a wafer of non-magnetic material intended to be cut to separate each head. The method applies to magnetic heads of the type comprising a micro-opening formed between two magnetic poles, facing an air gap defined between two coils of ferrite coils. This method consists in depositing said magnetic poles in a thin layer on a first face of a plate (40) made of non-magnetic material, and in releasing in the opposite face of said plate at least one cell for housing said wound cores (72), so as to obtain a calibrated spacing or a junction between the upper part of each of said wound cores and said magnetic thin film poles.
