Bridging system for surmounting obstacles such as gaps
Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a bridging system. The system is characterised in that it comprises at least two identical assemblies of span-bearing elements which can be coupled rigidly end-to-end, each assembly of span-bearing elements (1) comprising at least one strong structure (2) with a carriageway; two outer access noses (8) joined to the strong structure (2) by locking means to the two ends, respectively, of the latter in extension of the carriageway and a lower element forming a tie rod (6) having its two ends connected, respectively, in the vicinity of the two inner ends of the two access noses (8) by a transverse pivoting spindle, it being possible for each access nose (8) to be unlocked from the structure (2) and raised to a substantially vertical position in order to be locked contiguously to an outer raised access nose (8) of another assembly of span-bearing elements (1) in order to form a bridging system of greater span (bearing surface). The present invention applies, in particular, to the field of military engineering. <IMAGE>
